Our Achievements


Our students took part in various Competitive exams and brought laudable laurels to the school. We take this opportunity to mention a few .

1) Homi Bhabha Bal Vaidnyanik competition:

The Mumbai Science Teachers Association conducts Dr. Homi Bhabha Vaidnyanik Competition to encourage students to inculcate Scientific attitude . This is based on the scientific knowledge acquired by the students of class VI and IX . Josephina’s have continued the history of winning the Gold and the Silver Medals.

2) National Talent Search Examination:

The Central Government awards Scholarships to NTSE Scholars for pursuing studies in Science and instill confidence to crack future competitive exams. The Josephians who maintained such challenges are; the following students were qualified for the scholarships

3) Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana

This exam is administered by the Indian Institute of science . Students qualifying this exam are eligible for scholarships and for admissions into institutes like IISC and IISER .

  • In 2018-19 Harsh Sapkale qualified 1st round of the exams
  • In 2018-19 Aadeesh SatishOswal qualified 1st round of the exams.

4) NCC ‘A’ Certificate exam:

The Cadets of NCC (Jr. wing) of St. Joseph’s convent Sr. Secondary School have stood the test of time and continued to meet the requirements of current Socio–economic scenario by practicing the motto of Unity and Discipline

  • 2017-18 JD and JW ( 36 cadets ) attempted and were awarded the certificates of ‘A’ n ‘B’ grades .
  • 2018-19JD ( 25 cadets )attempted and were awarded the certificates of ‘A’ n ‘B’ grades .

5) The Scholarship exam:

The Scholarship exam is a state level exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra council of education to identify and encourage the students by awarding scholarships to students of std 5th and 8th.
The following students were selected for the State level Schoolarships

6) Sports is an Integral part of our school and our students excelled in this field:

Yoga helps in developing flexibility , manage mental stress and gain concentration . Our student BhageshMahajan did a wonderful act and got himself registered in the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS. Miss AnushkaChaudhari was selected for the NATIONAL LEVEL AEROBICS.

Excellent CBSE result of class 10th and 12th was always our pride and I feel honored to place on record the result of 2018-19 where master Aryan Rajesh Jain was the District topper std 10th and Miss. Kimaya Harshal Chaudhari was the district topper of class 12th 2019-20.

Inter School Competitions are a reflection of team spirit and co. ordination. Our students secured the first, second and third prizes in Debate, spell bee, science and maths exhibition which were held at different schools .

I would like to draw your special attention towards the outstanding performance by one of our genius student master Amey Prashant Deshmukh .

He won the following competitions HomiBhabhaVaidnyanikSpardha (HBBVS by MSTA) won Gold medal Represented India in a 6 member team at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2018, Botswana and won Gold Medal , (Funded by the Government of India)

Selected for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) scholarships awarded by NCERT , CBSE. Selected for GOT AIR 2 in KVPY scholarship conducted by IISC.

Selected for the OCSC ( Orientation cum Selection Camp ) in IPHO(International Physics Olympiad) by achieving a top 35 rank in INPHO ( Indian National Physics Olympiad)

The year 2020-21 has witnessed unforeseen events and curriculum. Keeping in par with the time and situation we keep moving forward hoping for a better tomorrow . However we thank God for the opportunity given to serve the less privileged of the society by helping them with the monthly provisions.

Time constraint prevents me from mentioning the numerous other achievements of our school . They, however, find a place in the school chronicles. On this note, I would like to conclude by extending my gratitude to our beloved Provincial Sr. Philda and the Provincial Team for their timely help and guidance and having believed in our vision of progress .
